Standard Blackjack Rules
The aim of any Blackjack game is for the player to try to beat the dealer by accumulating a total hand value close to but not over 21 points.
The player will need to draw cards until the players hand totals 21 or comes as close as possible without exceeding it.
If the players first two cards total 21 – an Ace paired with a 10 or picture card – then Blackjack is won.
A player who stands chooses not to receive any additional cards.
Any hand that exceeds 21 – goes bust – loses regardless of the dealers hand.
The dealer must draw on 16 and will always stand on 17 and above.
If the dealers hand totals the same as the player’s then the hand is a ‘push’, which will see the player’s bet returned to them.
Blackjack beats non-blackjack 21’s.
An Ace may have a value of either 1 or 11, with the card adopting the value that is of most benefit to the players hand.
The cards 2 to 9 are taken at face value.
The 10, Jack, Queen and King are all valued at 10.

Insurance
If the dealers first card is an Ace, you will have the option to safeguard your hand by buying insurance.
This will cost half of your original wager.
If the dealer draws Blackjack, Insurance will pay out at 2:1 with the original Blackjack bet lost.
If the dealer does not have Blackjack, the Insurance bet is lost and the hand will continue as normal.
