Heads Will Roll is a casual online gambling game featuring polyhedral dice with real-life odds, a Fate Mode, a strategic Cash Out mechanic, and an All or Nothing feature. The game combines risk and reward, offering predefined payouts for each step reached.

A game round is started with the action button and plays the game with the selected bet level.
Before starting, the player selects a difficulty (EASY [default], MEDIUM, HARD, or BRUTAL) and a bet amount. The game begins with a die roll. Each successful roll advances the player up a payout ladder with increasing multipliers. The current potential win is shown in the CASH OUT button at the bottom center. Only the latest shown multiplier is applied to the base bet when the player chooses to Cash Out. Maximum win depends on the chosen difficulty.

EASY difficulty uses a twenty-sided die (d20) and includes a total of 30 progression steps. MEDIUM difficulty uses an eight-sided (d8) die, with a total of 30 progression steps. HARD difficulty uses a six-sided (d6) die, with a total of 30 progression steps. BRUTAL difficulty uses a six-sided (d6) die, with a total of 16 progression steps.
Each step begins with a roll of the Base Die. Rolling (+1) advances the player one step and continues the game. Rolling a (Star) triggers Fate Mode, while a (Skull) ends the game immediately. The game ends on a (Skull), max win, or CASH OUT.

Fate Mode replaces the Base Die with a special die (same number of sides), increasing both reward potential and the risk of a ‘Game Over’ (skull). Extending Fate Mode further enhances these effects. Cash Out is disabled during this mode.
Level 1: Rolling (+2) advances the player two steps, and returns to the Base Die. ‘Fate’ (star) extends Fate Mode. Game Over (skull) ends the game immediately.
Level 2: Rolling (+3) advances the player three steps, and returns to the Base Die. Game Over (skull) ends the game immediately.
When 1 or 2 steps away from maximum win, the Base Die is replaced with a special golden die (same number of sides), where only two outcomes are possible: maximum win or Game Over. Fate Mode remains active during this stage, providing multiple opportunities to reach the maximum win.
Outcomes in this game are determined by the face distribution of polyhedral dice (d6, d8, d20), as shown in-game (left- side panel), and solely determined by the game’s random number generator. Probabilities match real-life odds. Visual depiction of the in-game dice does not simulate the physical device shown. The last six results are shown in-game (right- side panel).

No bets can be altered during a game round.
In the event of game malfunction all affected bets and pays are rendered void.
The maximum total bet multiplier in a game round depends on the selected difficulty. If this limit is reached, the round ends and no further wins are awarded. Maximum multiplier: EASY: 35.00x, MEDIUM: 110.00x, HARD: 1000.00x, BRUTAL: 2400.00x.
If a game round cannot be completed through regular play, the game will pay (Cash Out) at the highest recorded multiplier level. In Fate Mode the game will pay (Cash Out) after all Fate Mode rolls have been resolved, according to the result of said rolls.
The payout ladder is scrollable at any time. After cashing out, dice outcomes and the potential win for the game round will become visible. This has no effect on gameplay or future game rounds.
